Unicorne Accelerates Its Expansion in Ontario

2026 CESP: Accelerating Unicorne’s expansion in Ontario through structured execution

Breaking into a market outside Quebec is not simply about “making more sales.” For a cloud firm, the real difference lies in making the approach repeatable: clear positioning, disciplined prospecting, an active partner network and execution that does not depend on a single breakthrough.

In Ontario, the potential is real. It is a dense ecosystem with a strong concentration of organizations that rely on cloud technologies to support growth and modernize operations.

It is within this framework that Unicorne structured its project under the 2026 Commercialization and Export Support Program (CESP), with the support of Avinova, a consulting firm with proven expertise in tax credits and grants. The objective is to consolidate our presence in Ontario and scale coherently, without losing what makes us effective in the field.

What we are putting in place

Rather than stacking initiatives, the approach is built on a few simple pillars designed to last:

1) An Ontario positioning, without ambiguity
When a market becomes more competitive, vague messaging becomes expensive. The challenge is not to add promises, but to clarify: who we serve, which problem we solve and how we demonstrate it concretely.

2) Dedicated, results-oriented commercial execution
Breaking into a market starts with cadence: opening doors, qualifying quickly, managing the pipeline rigorously and building lasting relationships. The project focuses on developing the Ontario market through structured commercial activities, including relationship building, prospecting and active presence within the ecosystem.

3) Partnerships and co-selling, approached pragmatically
In Ontario, the ecosystem matters as much as direct prospecting. The objective is to increase our reach through partners who share the same standards: rigor, execution and the ability to deliver.

4) Coherent go-to-market execution, in service of the pipeline
Digital is not an end in itself. It serves to generate signals and qualified conversations, then feed the pipeline in a disciplined manner. The project includes marketing activities designed to support structured opportunity generation.

The important point: a well-defined project

A CESP project is not “marketing.” It is a framework that enables coherent market diversification, with clearly defined eligible activities and documentation aligned with program requirements.

In our case, the support of our consulting firm Avinova, specialized in tax credits and grants, served precisely that purpose: helping us position ourselves effectively and structure a CESP application compliant with program requirements and approved by the program.

Conclusion

Ontario is a strategic priority, and Unicorne is actively in execution mode: strengthened presence, structured approach and increased capacity to take on more ambitious mandates in this market, without compromising quality.
