How Unicorne scaled Well-Architected Reviews and accelerated Stable’s launch

By Eric Pinet

As Unicorne continued to grow its AWS consulting practice, one challenge became increasingly clear: too much valuable time was being spent gathering data instead of analyzing it.

AWS Well-Architected Framework Reviews are essential, but they can also be extremely time-consuming, especially in complex multi-account environments. For Unicorne, manual data collection across security and cost optimization checks was slowing delivery and limiting how many reviews the team could complete.

By using CloudQuery to automate data extraction across client AWS environments, Unicorne reduced delivery time from 50 hours to 20 hours per engagement for key parts of the review process. That shift gave the team more room to focus on what matters most: deeper analysis, sharper recommendations, and more strategic guidance for clients.

The same data foundation also helped accelerate the launch of Stable, Unicorne’s FinOps SaaS product. Instead of spending months building a data layer from scratch, the team was able to move faster and focus on the product features that create real value, including recommendations, alerts, and resource-level visibility.

For Unicorne, it was a way to scale expertise, increase delivery capacity, and bring a new product to market faster.
